Job Overview:

As a Quality Inspector in the electrical and instrumentation field, your primary responsibility is to ensure that products conform to customer specifications by conducting independent inspections and tests in alignment with the Project Quality Plan. Your role involves identifying and addressing non-conformities, ensuring their rectification, and guaranteeing final resolution. Effective communication with various stakeholders, such as Production Supervisor, Senior Principal Certification Tech, Discipline Engineer, Project Engineer, Operations Engineer, Precom Engineers, Hook Up Engineer, Field Engineer, Certifying Authority, Discipline Technicians, Discipline Inspector, and Customers, is crucial for the success of your tasks.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Product Quality Appraisal: You will appraise product quality according to the Project Quality Plan, Inspection & Test Plan, and Scope of Work, meticulously determining conformity and non-conformity. It is essential to document all inspection results, and in case of non-conformities, raise the necessary documentation to establish corrective and preventive actions, as well as identify root causes.

Coordinating Compliance: Your role requires close coordination with Operations, Production Supervisor, Clients, Job Sharing personnel, and subcontractors to ensure strict adherence to project requirements.

Material Inspection: Conduct material receiving and field installation inspections of electrical, instrumentation, telecommunication, and Cathodic protection components in accordance with the project requirements and scope of work outlined within the Project Quality Plan / Inspection Test Plan.

Proactive Nonconformance Prevention: Adopt a proactive approach to prevent nonconformance by conducting regular surveillance inspections and interacting with respective departments.

Internal Audits: You will conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of the Quality System as outlined in the Project Quality Plan / Inspection Test Plan.

Surveillance during Execution: Perform surveillance audits during project execution, following applicable procedures and plans.

Storage and Preservation Checks: Conduct surveillance checks on Electrical, Instrument, Telecom equipment, and material storage and preservation at the construction site and warehouses.

Pre-commissioning and Acceptance Tests: Witness E&I/T and CP pre-commissioning and performance acceptance tests, ensuring they meet established parameters.

Comprehensive Documentation: Ensure the progressive completion of inspection reports, RFI's, and test reports.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education:

Minimum 3 years diploma/degree in Electrical & Instrumentation.

5+ years of experience in Quality control or related fields, with a focus on Material Electrical, Instrumentation, and Telecommunication Inspection.

Preferred Qualifications and Education:

Internal / External Auditor Qualification.

COMPEX EX01 - EX04 certification.

Project / Area / Regional Specifics:

MENA client's approval as a Quality Inspector (E&I).
